Earthworks in Swindon & across our area
Bulk earthworks, cut and fill, levelling and site formation.
We move ground at scale — bulk excavation, cut and fill, reduced-level dig, embankments, site strip and formation — shaping a plot ready for construction.
With our own plant and experienced operators we manage arisings, compaction and levels so the site is right before anything is built on it.
On a cut-and-fill job we balance material across the site where possible, moving spoil from the cut areas into the fill rather than trucking material on and off site unnecessarily - which keeps cost and disruption down. Compaction is tested and built up in layers to the levels your engineer or architect has specified, ready for the foundations or roads that follow. For larger developments we can work alongside your civil engineer's cut-and-fill model, tracking volumes as the earthworks progress to keep the numbers on track, and we'll flag early if ground conditions mean the model needs revisiting. Our own plant fleet means we can usually mobilise quickly once a scheme is approved.

Earthworks — your questions
Can you level a sloping site for building?
Yes — cut and fill, retaining and compaction to form a level, stable platform is core earthworks for us.
Do you deal with the spoil?
Yes — we can muck away surplus or re-use suitable material on site to keep costs down.
Can you survey levels before we finalise the design?
Yes - a topographical check early on helps confirm cut-and-fill volumes and avoid surprises once earthworks are under way.
How do you manage earthworks near neighbouring properties?
We plan machine movements, retaining and any temporary works to protect neighbouring boundaries and structures, and keep noise and site traffic to sensible hours.
How much do earthworks cost?
Bulk earthworks are usually priced by volume or by the day depending on scale, and vary with ground conditions and how much cut-and-fill can be balanced on site. We'll quote after a site visit.
Where we work
We carry out Earthworks across Swindon and out along the A419 corridor — Cirencester, Cheltenham and Gloucester — plus Oxford, the Cotswolds and down towards Hungerford.
