We excavate and pour foundations to your structural engineer's design — strip, trench-fill or raft — dealing with variable ground, made-up ground and tree roots along the way.
Accurate setting out and clean, level concrete mean the trades above you start on a sound footing.
We work directly from your engineer's foundation design, but we'll flag anything on site that doesn't match what's on paper - a tree closer than expected, softer ground, or services running through the dig line - before pouring rather than after. Concrete is placed and compacted properly so there are no voids, which matters just as much as getting the depth right. We can also advise on practical sequencing - when to dig, when to pour, and how weather might affect your programme - alongside the technical side of the job.

What kind of foundation do I need?
Your structural engineer or Building Control will specify it based on ground and load — we build to that design and advise on the practicalities.
Can you work on sloping or difficult sites?
Yes — stepped foundations, deep dig and made-up ground are all part of what we do.
How much notice do you need to start a foundation dig?
For a straightforward domestic job, a couple of weeks is usually enough once we have your approved drawings; for larger or more complex builds we'd want to see the site and drawings sooner to plan plant and access.
Can you pour foundations for a self-build?
Yes - we work with self-builders regularly, either as a standalone package or alongside your other trades, and we're happy to talk through sequencing with you.
How much do foundations cost?
Foundation cost depends on the type (strip, trench-fill or raft), depth and ground conditions, all of which come from your structural engineer's design. We'll price against your approved drawings.
