Fencing in Swindon & across our area
Boundary, security and agricultural fencing set on solid posts.
We install fencing of all kinds — close-board, panel, post-and-rail, palisade and security fencing — with posts set properly in concrete so the line stays true and strong.
As groundworkers we get the postholes and levels right, which is exactly why a fence lasts.
Post positions and depths are set out before anything goes in the ground, checked against boundary lines where that matters, and concreted in properly rather than just backfilled with soil - which is the single biggest reason fences lean or blow down. On sloping ground we step or rake the panels so the fence still reads as a straight, even line. For larger agricultural or security fencing runs we can supply and fit at scale, and we're happy to discuss stock or perimeter requirements specific to your site, including gates, access points and any planning considerations for boundary height. We'll also advise on the most durable timber or fixings for exposed or coastal-facing locations.

Fencing — your questions
Can you replace a fence blown down in a storm?
Yes — we clear the old fence, reset or replace posts properly and put up the new run.
Do you fit gates?
Yes, pedestrian and vehicle gates, hung on posts set to take the weight.
Who is responsible for a boundary fence?
It depends on the property deeds, which we're happy to have a look at with you, but we always recommend confirming ownership with a neighbour before replacing a shared boundary fence.
How long do concreted fence posts take to cure before panels go up?
We usually allow a few days for the concrete to go off properly before loading the posts with panels or gates, so the fence isn't put under strain too soon.
How much does new fencing cost?
It's priced per metre run and depends on the fence type (close-board, panel, post-and-rail or security), height and ground conditions for the posts. We'll measure up and quote clearly.
